Terms of Service for Kateryna Woodworks

1. Custom Commissions & Bespoke Furniture

• Design Approval: For custom furniture, a final design specification will be sent to the client. Work begins only after the client provides written approval of the dimensions, wood species, and finish.

• Deposits: A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure your place on the shop schedule and purchase materials.

• Lead Times: As a handcrafted operation, lead times are estimates. We will provide a projected completion date, but quality takes precedence over speed.

2. Payment & Shipping

• Final Payment: For custom orders, the remaining 50% balance plus shipping costs is due prior to delivery or shipment.

• Etsy Sales: Standard items (e.g., Cherrywood Bowls) must be paid in full at the time of purchase.

• Shipping: We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers. All high-value furniture pieces are shipped with full insurance.

3. Nature of Handmade Wood Products

• Natural Variation: Wood is a living material. Clients acknowledge that grain patterns, knots, and color variations are natural characteristics and not defects.

• Acclimation: Solid wood furniture may expand or contract slightly depending on the humidity of your home. We build using traditional joinery to account for this movement.

4. Returns & Cancellations

• Custom Orders: Due to the bespoke nature of these items, all custom furniture sales are final once production has begun.

• Standard Items: For bowls and stock items, returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. Items must be in original, unused condition. The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.

5. Intellectual Property

• All designs, photography, and content on kat-wood.com are the property of Kateryna Woodworks. Designs may not be replicated without express written consent.
